Vicki L Mattson (Fryer), age 70, was taken from her family and friends unexpectedly on November 29, 2022 in her and her husband's Marshfield home. Vicki was born, raised and educated in Weymouth, where she graduated from Weymouth High School in 1970. She began dating Buddy at the age of 15 years old and they remained inseparable ever since. This upcoming year would have been their 50th wedding anniversary. After high school, Vicki worked at John Hancock but took a break from there after marrying her beloved husband Buddy in 1973 to start a family and be home with the children in their early years. After working many years at John Hancock, she moved onto Home Depot in Rockland in 1996 and then to Home Depot in Plymouth to be able to work with Buddy.
Vicki was a Past Worthy Advisor for Wessagusett Rainbow for Girls. She was also a previous member of Eastern Star.
Vicki loved taking trips with her children when they were young to Disney World in Florida, and camping trips to Maine, especially Old Orchard Beach, in the family RV. She was very fond of the casino, where she and Buddy would play slots together. Vicki always thought of others ahead of her own needs, famous for her generosity and open-door. Above all, Vicki loved her family, she adored her grandchildren and never missed a chance to spoil them and attend any sporting or band event they had going on. She was truly a generous and fun-loving mother and nana.
Vicki is predeceased by her parents Thomas C and Margaret E (Lindsey) Fryer. She is survived by her loving children, Kristin Robinson and her husband Bill of Rockland, Jeffrey Mattson of Arizona, her grandchildren, Billy, Vivian, and Alanah, her siblings, Linda Fowler and her husband Curt, Butch Fryer and his wife Eilene, her brother in-law Larry Sole and her late sister Janice Sole. Vicki was also very loved by her many nieces and nephews.
