Theresa M. Golding

Theresa "Terry" Golding was welcomed into heaven on February 21,2026 with her loving son, John Golding by her side at the South Shore Hospital in Weymouth.

Theresa was born on March 10, 1939 in the city of Fitchburg, MA.  Theresa was the youngest daughter of the late Philip M. and Emilienne Leger.  Theresa was the youngest sibling to the Late Bernard Leger of Fitchburg, MA, George Leger of Leominster, MA, John Leger of Rogers, AR, Mary Lebrake of Petersburg, VA and Lea Crowley of Fitchburg, MA.  Theresa was predeceased by her parents and her siblings.

Theresa's dream at a young age was to become a teacher.  While working odd jobs into her early twenties, she attended a teachers training program at Boston College and acquired her degree and her teaching certifications.  Theresa became a 5th and 6th grade math teacher at the former Jeanne d'Arc Academy in Milton until the schools closer in 1971 at which time she became a teacher at St. Mary's of the Hills School in Milton, MA.

While Theresa was in her teaching career she met the man that would become the love of her life Francis "Ron" Golding of Hingham, MA formally of Dorchester, MA.  Theresa and Francis dated for about 4 years and in 1978 the couple got married.  In 1979 Theresa and Francis had their only child, John Golding of Hingham.  Upon the arrival of their son, Theresa decided to retire from teaching and become a full time Mom and caregiver to her elderly family members.

Theresa and Francis were married and resided Hingham until Francis's passing 2021.  Theresa remained in Hingham with her full time caregiver and devoted son, John until her passing on February 21,2026.  She will be dearly missed.
