Mrs. Shirley V. “The Pearl” (Egan) Cahill passed away peacefully at home on December 17th, 2025, following a long illness. She was born on February 14th, 1935. Shirley worked for many years as a telephone operator and later as an insurance representative.
Shirley married Anthony M. Cahill on October 6th, 1984, in Weymouth. Together, they shared a deep love for life and adventure, retiring to travel across the United States in their motor coach and embracing the freedom of life on the road until Shirley’s diagnosis. Above all, Shirley loved her family and lived life fully, always surrounded by those she cared for most.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Anthony M. Cahill, and her children Robert Teague and Dana Teague. She was the loving grandmother of Allan Hood, Dylan Teague, Derek Teague, Jessica Malik, and Tyler James Teague, and the cherished great-grandmother of Esme Rose Teague. She is also survived by her siblings Joan Jackson, Jane Murphy, Robert Keniston, Karen Keniston, and Doris Keniston-Swain. Shirley was predeceased by her children Brian Teague and Dana Teague, and her siblings Richard Keniston, June Murphy, Jean Sweezey, and Lois Keniston.
Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visitation hours on Saturday, December 27th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, followed by a service in the funeral home at 4:00 PM. Cremation will follow.
