Obituary

Richard H. "Rich" Lindblom Jr., 58, passed away suddenly on July 27, 2026.

Born in Weymouth on January 24, 1968, Rich was raised in Weymouth and attended Weymouth High School as a member of the Class of 1986. After school, he began what would become a lifelong career in the flooring industry, founding Rich's Floor Covering in 1992. He operated his business for more than three decades.

In 1996, Rich married, and in 2006, he built and established his family's home in Norwell, where he built a life centered around his family, his community and his friendships. He treasured coaching his three children in Norwell youth sports, attending his nieces' and nephew's sports games, entertaining his friends and family, and cooking incredible meals for those he loved.

He found joy in roadtripping and traveling the country with his family, spending time with his children, attending Boston sporting events and enjoying laughter around a fire pit with his Norwell neighbors.

Rich is survived by his loving children, Rachael Lindblom, Jack Lindblom, and Evan Lindblom, and his companion of three years, Christina Allegrini. He is also remembered by his former wife and mother of his children, Jennifer Lindblom, and his parents, Richard H. Lindblom Sr. and his wife, Patricia A. Lindblom and Sharon J. (Sabean) Rexford and her husband Paul R. Rexford and brother, Daniel M. Lindblom. His memory is cherished by his loving family members, Bonnie A. Lindblom, Alison A. Lindblom, Ryan D. Lindblom, Samantha A. Lindblom, and Danica L. Lindblom, lifelong friends and neighbors that became family, and all whose lives were enriched by his generosity, kindness, and strong spirit.
