Weymouth

Richard "Dick" W. Kirkpatrick of Weymouth passed away on October 21, 2022 at the age of 75 with his loving wife Pauline and stepson Chad at his side. Richard was raised and started his education in Winchester before his family moved to Chatham. He continued his schooling in Concord MA, graduating from the Middlesex School with the class of 1965. Richard attended Rollins college for one year before transferring to The College of William and Mary where he received his Bachelor's degree in History. While at The College of William and Mary Richard was a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity. Following college he worked for the Marsh McLennan Agency before transitioning to employment with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as an Insurance Fraud Investigator. Richard lived around various parts of Boston until he married his wife, Pauline. He moved to Weymouth with her in 2006 where he spent the remainder of his time.

Richard loved the ocean, and in his earlier years taking his boat out to do some fishing. He also rowed with the crew team and played football at Middlesex School. Richard was an avid reader and always kept his mind sharp by doing countless jigsaw and crossword puzzles. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Red Sox, the Patriots, and NCAA men's basketball games. Richard was a strong man both physically and in spirit. If you were his friend, you were a friend for life.

Richard was the loving husband of Pauline M. Kirkpatrick of Weymouth. He was the devoted father of Kate Polk, her former husband Todd of FL and Sarah McKenzie and her husband Matthew of TX. The cherished grandfather of Seamus, Shiloh, Logan and Levi. Richard also leaves behind his siblings Charles D. Kirkpatrick and his wife Ellie of ME and Jane Gilley and her husband Dana of NH.
