Patricia A. Bell

Patricia A. "Patty" Bell, of Weymouth, Massachusetts, formerly of Quincy, died peacefully surrounded by her family on August 4, 2026, at the age of 68. She was born on February 28, 1958.

Patty was raised and educated in Dorchester, where she was a member of St. Gregory's Parish. She graduated from Hyde Park High School.

Patty enjoyed a long career in office administration, where her exceptional organization and attention to detail served her well. She always had a place for everything and took pride in keeping things in order. Later in life, she worked for many years as a chair car driver, a job she truly enjoyed because it allowed her to spend time behind the wheel and outdoors. Patty also waitressed for many years at Nick's Restaurant in Weymouth Landing and The Egg and I in Quincy.

She was predeceased by her cherished and loving daughter, Alicia Sweeney, and her beloved son, Christopher Bell, whose memory remained close to her heart.

She is survived by her loving siblings, Charles "Chuckie" Bell, Darrell Bright, Stephen Bell and his wife, Rene, Deborah Gardner, Christopher Bell and his wife, Kathy, and Kimberly Scarrow of Calgary. She is also survived by many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She is survived by her dear friend, Celia, and her son, Ismael.

Patty loved spending time at the beach and will always be remembered for the special place she held in her heart for her beloved cat, Murphy.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visit with Patty's family from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square), South Weymouth. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at the conclusion of the visitation at 2pm. Private interment to follow at Village Cemetery at a later date.
