Maude Patricia Bersani

Maude Patricia "Patsy" Bersani (MacMurray), age 79, a lifelong resident of Weymouth, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, January 22, 2023. Patsy graduated from Weymouth High School in 1961. She married her beloved husband, Carl, in 1964 at St. Jerome's Church and they started a family together in Weymouth where they have lived since and have cultivated so many fond memories.

Patsy worked as a home health coordinator for South Shore VNA for over 40 years. She loved the beach, spending long days with family and friends specifically at Gunrock Beach in Hull. Above all else, Patsy was the glue that kept her family strong and connected. She was so proud of her grandchildren, her pride and joy, and was blessed with two great-grandchildren, and always looked forward to her weekly “Quinnie day”, her favorite day of the week. Nana already had extra love stored in her heart ready for the third great-grandchild, who is on the way. Her legacy will live on forever through her grandchildren, and great grand-children those here today, and all those to come.

Patsy was predeceased by her parents Charles and Mary MacMurray, and her siblings Frances Giovanucci, Gail Coyle, Charles MacMurray, and Marjorie Murphy. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Carl Bersani of Weymouth, her children Cheryl Clare and her husband James of IL, Noreen Bersani-Coughlan and her husband Patrick of Weymouth, and Carleene Bersani of Weymouth. Patsy is the cherished Nana of Ryan, Kevin, Bryan, Amanda, Sean, Thomas, Michael, Matthew, Kyle, and James and Great-Nana to Quinn and Marina; and loving sister of MaryLou King and Kathy Amonte.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Patsy on Thursday, January 26, 2023 from 9-11am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A Funeral Mass will take place following the visitation at Noon in St. Jerome's Church located on Rte. 3A in N. Weymouth. Burial will take place in St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth.
