Mary J. Moriarty (Kehoe), of Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on September 12, 2025, at the age of 85.
Born in Boston on December 16, 1939, Mary was the daughter of the late Andrew P. Kehoe and Eleanor (Skeffington). She grew up in Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School with the class of 1958. After marrying her husband, the late James D. Moriarty, they settled in Weymouth where she dedicated herself to raising their family. Once her children were older, Mary began working as a customer service representative, where she enjoyed helping others and building lasting connections.
Mary had a true passion for cooking and was happiest when hosting Sunday dinners and holiday gatherings for family and friends. She cherished the time spent around her table, sharing good food, laughter, and love. Mary also valued her lifelong friendships and made it a priority to stay connected throughout the years.
She is survived by her loving children: Laura Hoyle and her husband Randy of Weymouth, James Moriarty Jr. and his wife Angela of Florida, Jean Majenski of Marshfield, and Michelle Mulligan and her husband Donald of Whitman. Mary was a devoted grandmother to Timothy, Joseph, James, Allison, Kathryn, William, and Andrea, and a proud great-grandmother to Aiden and Cole. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, James, and her brother, Michael Kehoe.
