Mary Cimino

Mary E. Cimino (Bixler) of Quincy, Massachusetts passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, at the age of 92. She was born in Boston to Harry and Emma (Langley) Bixler. Mary was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Cimino and the longtime companion of the late Joseph Cattaneo.

Mary was a devoted mother to Diane (Campbell) Kilrain and her late husband John (Jack) of Quincy, Robert Campbell of Hong Kong, Donna Campbell and her partner Anthony Miranda of Weymouth, Marie (Campbell) Novicki and her husband Gregory of Marlborough, and Thomas Campbell of Quincy. She was the cherished Nana to her grandchildren, John Kilrain Jr. and Thomas Campbell Jr., and a proud great-grandmother to Aurora and Jaycier.

She was predeceased by her sister, Irene Bixler Lyons of Everett, and her half-brother, Harry Bixler of St. Louis, Missouri. Mary is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and friends, including those in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.

Mary enjoyed music, line dancing, roller skating, and creative projects around her home. She was a longtime member of the Braintree Rifle and Pistol Club and took great joy in caring for her dogs.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. In accordance with her wishes, Mary donated her body to Harvard Medical School.
