Mary Margaret Ciccariello

Mary Margaret (Keough) Ciccariello, 76, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on January 15, 2023, after a long struggle with Frontal Temporal Disorder Primary Progressive Aphasia (FTD-PPA). She is survived by Robert, her husband of 53 years. She was a proud mother to three children; Robert, husband of Tina of Virginia, Andrea Locke, wife of Ted of Whitman, and Susan Lavigne, wife of Ken of Mansfield, and was grandmother to Sarah, Anna, Sophia, Kari, Emma, Gabriel, and Grace, and the late Derek.

Mary was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts to the late Dora and John (Herbert) Keough, and raised in Somerville with siblings Patricia Marston of Alabama, Thomas Keough of Norwell, and Robert Keough of Billerica. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School, earned a degree in social work from Boston State College, and retired after a long career as a social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Medicaid Department. Mary was a 48 year resident of Weymouth, and a devoted member of St Francis Xavier Church. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and mother in-law. The family wishes to acknowledge Ellen Shepherd for all her loving help and kindness to Mary.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Mary in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, Ma on Friday January 20, 2023, from 9:30-11:30AM. A funeral Mass will be held immediately after visiting hours at St. Francis Xavier Church in Weymouth at 12PM. Interment will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
