Marion M. Bennett (Norton), age 89, of South Weymouth, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 20th, 2025. Marion was born on December 28th, 1935, in Boston, Massachusetts, to the late George Norton and Gladys Petrides (Sheppard). She was born and raised in Boston and graduated from Cambridge Latin School.

In 1962, Marion moved to South Weymouth, where she raised her family. She was a devoted homemaker who dedicated her life to caring for her children and family. Marion found joy in knitting, quilting, and crocheting, creating countless handmade items that will be treasured for generations.

Marion is survived by her children Edmund P. Bennett Jr. of East Bridgewater, Denise M. King and her husband John of Attleboro, Arthur P. Bennett and his wife Carolyn of Abington, Debra A. Badger and her husband David of Brockton, and Dorene L. Quam and her husband Gary of South Weymouth. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Marion was predeceased by her beloved husband, Edmund P. Bennett, her son Frederick J. Bennett, and her brother George Norton.

Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square), South Weymouth, on Monday, December 29th from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a service at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at Knollwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion’s memory to the American Lung Association.
