Margaret Horgan, aged 36, passed away on May 20, 2023. Margaret was born in Newton and raised in Billerica and Westfield. She was a beloved sister, daughter, niece, and friend to many. Margaret, to many known as "Mags," graduated from Westfield High School in 2005. After high school, she attended Westfield State University. She proudly earned her nursing degree at Laboure College of Healthcare. After completing her education, she became a registered nurse.
Margaret adored her career and the many friends she made as a nurse. She was known for her empathetic nature and ability to make everyone feel seen and heard. She enjoyed playing basketball and softball in her youth. She was known to enjoy shopping, one of her favorite purchases being her black 2008 Jeep Wrangler and cruising around during the warm summer months.
She loved spending time with her family and friends and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her kind and compassionate nature touched many people's lives, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Margaret is predeceased by her father, John Horgan. She is survived by her devoted mother Ann Horgan of Weymouth. Her brother Tom Horgan, and his wife Ashlee, of Milton, her sister, Mary Kate Horgan, and her partner Greg Millien, of Weymouth as well as her extended family, including her aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved and admired her.
A Celebration of Life for Margaret will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Lung Association using the link provided.
