Lynn A. White

Lynn Anne White (Schuttauf), 74, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the Pat Roche Hospice Home in Hingham, MA, after a prolonged fight with cancer.

Born in Chelsea, MA on November 23, 1951, she was the beloved daughter of the late Nancy Jean Dixon and Billy A. Schuttauf. Lynn was a longtime resident of Hanover, MA before residing in Whitman, MA. She was the devoted wife and widow of the late Donald L. White.

Driven by a lifelong passion for science and helping others, Lynn earned her Bachelor’s degree in Inorganic Chemistry from Eastern Nazarene College before pursuing nursing. She went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Boston University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Boston College.

Lynn dedicated her career to healthcare as a Nurse Practitioner, specializing in diabetes education, where her expertise with insulin pumps earned her the affectionate title of "The Pump Jedi." Beyond her direct patient care, she shared her vast knowledge and mentored future generations of medical professionals through her teaching roles at both Boston Medical Center and Northeastern University.

Above all her professional accomplishments, Lynn’s greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Derek White and his wife Carolyn, Andrew White and his wife Jeannie, and Keith White and his wife Brittany. She was the cherished grandmother of Silas, Levi, Seamus, James, and Oona White.

Lynn is also survived by her loving siblings, Billy Schuttauf, Mark Schuttauf, and Sherry DeMoura, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, colleagues, and friends. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Karen Schuttauf.

At the family's request, there will be no visiting hours or formal funeral services. Lynn will be laid to rest alongside her beloved husband, Donald, at Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth, MA.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at the First Congregational Church of Hanover at a future date to be announced.
