d. January 4, 2026

Weymouth, MA

Louis A. Cicchese, 94, of East Weymouth, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, January 4, 2026. He was the beloved husband of 70 years to Evelyn (Longo) Cicchese.

Lou was a lifelong resident of Weymouth and the son of the late Arthur M. Cicchese and Anne (Cipullo) Cicchese. He was a graduate of Weymouth High School and attended Northeastern University. He proudly served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict.

Like many during that time, Lou met his wife Evelyn at Moseley’s on the Charles dance hall. Their love of dancing continued throughout their married life. Even after 70 years, they never ran out of conversation and truly made an amazing team. Lou was a past member of the Sons of Italy and Elks. He was an avid Boston sports fan. Lou held many jobs from a very young age but found his niche when he began working at Halliday Lithograph-Arcadia Graphics where he was successfully employed for 38 years.

Lou was a man who valued truth, honor, and integrity. He treasured his family and had a lifelong passion for learning that never waned. You could find him on his computer each night. Annual family road trips were a tradition, and upon retirement, he and Evelyn spent time in Florida. He was a communicant and usher (55 years) at Immaculate Conception Church in East Weymouth. Lou looked forward to golfing every spring and especially enjoyed playing at Green Harbor with his sons, grandsons, and son-in-law.

In addition to his wife, Evelyn, he is survived by his children and their spouses: Louis "Bud" Cicchese (Patty) of Hanover, Karen Cicchese-Perry (Tom) of Marshfield and Steven Cicchese (Jolene) of Onset. He was the proud grandfather of Michael Cicchese (Kat), Nicole Lynch (John), Alex Cicchese (Kelli), Zack Perry (Leah), Jonathan Cicchese and Hayley Perry. The cherished great-grandfather of Mylo, Chloe, Cash, Luca, Julia, and Lucia. Lou was the brother of Arthur Cicchese (Judith), Marjorie Connor, and the late Theresa Donadio. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Celebration on January 15th at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, 720 Broad Street, East Weymouth. Burial will take place at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lou’s name to the National Kidney Foundation (www.kidney.org)
