Lawrence Romano Jr., of Weymouth, passed away on September 6th, 2025, at the age of 70. Born in Boston on November 22nd, 1954, he was the son of the late Lawrence Romano Sr. and Joan P. Romano (Gallery). He was raised in Weymouth and attended North Weymouth Vocational High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Marine Corps.
After his service, Lawrence began his career as a bricklayer and became a longtime member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 3, from which he retired. A man of many passions, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors with his metal detector. He was also an active member of the Sons of Italy and treasured visits to Maine to hunt with his brother Joe.
Lawrence is survived by his siblings: William R. Romano and his wife Pattie of North Easton, Joseph E. Romano and his wife Laura of Limington, ME, and Noreen T. Romano of East Weymouth. He also leaves behind nieces and nephew Meghan, Jacob, Sheila, Lauren, and Kristine, as well as great-nieces, great-nephews, and many cousins.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Lawrence’s life during visiting hours on Thursday, September 18th, from 4–7 PM at C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home in Weymouth. Family and friends are also invited to gather at 10AM for a Celebration of Life memorial service which will be held on Friday, September 19th, at 10:30 AM in the funeral home, with burial to follow at Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
