Judith Puleo

Judith L. Puleo (Spell), of Weymouth, passed away on September 29, 2026. She was born on October 6, 1934, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to the late Dosty and Eunice (Trouard) Spell. She graduated from Lake Charles High School in 1952 and attended McNeese College in Lake Charles, LA.

Judith began her family in Louisiana before spending five years in Virginia. In 1967, she settled in Hingham, where she lived for the next 58 years. A talented homemaker, Judith found great joy in sewing, tatting, crocheting, quilting and playing the piano as well as being involved for over 11 years as a treasurer at South Shore Community Bible Study in Hingham. She also shared her love of music by teaching piano lessons.

Family was the most important part of Judith's life, and she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her creativity, kindness, and devotion to her family.

Judith was predeceased by her parents. She is survived by her children, Gwen Engdahl of Weymouth, Jennifer Puleo of Weymouth, Stephen Puleo and his wife Brenda of Maine, and David Puleo and his wife Beth of Texas; her grandchildren, Kelly, Caitlin, Jonathan, Alyssa, Joseph, and Isabella; her great-grandchildren, Abigail, Alex, and Aurora; her sister, Leita McCormick; and many extended family members and friends.

Relatives and friends are welcome to attend visiting hours on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at CC Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street, Weymouth, MA 02190. A service will be held at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Judith's name.
