John "Jack" F. Leahy, age 88. of Plymouth passed away on Wednesday, January 14, 2026. Jack was raised in Savin Hill. He served in the Army and then soon after married his wife, Madelyn.
Jack and Madelyn started a family in Quincy. Jack worked as a carpenter in the local 33, for 33 years. He retied in 1997 to help take care of his wife as they retired to Plymouth. Jack was active at the Plymouth American Legion and VFW.
Jack was predeceased by his wife Madelyn Leahy (Mullally) and his son Mark Leahy. He is the father of John Leahy of Plymouth, Kevin Leahy and his wife Barbra of Marshfield, Christopher Leahy of Quincy, and Gail Lydon and her husband Kevin of Duxbury, grandfather of Michael, Kellie, Patrick, Christina, Colleen, and Julianna. Jack is also the great grandfather of Annabelle, Ethan, and Sean and longtime companion of Karen Eilertson.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Jack on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 10:30-11am in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A brief funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 11am in the funeral home followed by burial at Blue Hill Cemetery in Braintree.
