Joanne Fruzzetti

Joanne Fruzzetti (Arseneault), age 90, of Braintree and formerly of S. Weymouth, passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Joanne was born in Augusta, ME where she graduated in 1953 from Cony High School. Soonafter, she moved to Quincy and met her husband, Albert. They were married in 1954 and started a family together in S. Weymouth where Joanne has lived for 56 years. Albert passed away in 2021.

Joanne was an extremely talented seamstress and dressmaker. She clothed her family for years and was able to make all of her daughter's wedding dresses... a dream that meant so much to Joanne. She also was involved in the Crosstown Quilting Guild of Weymouth and "Thimbles and Friends" group in Abington.

Joanne was predeceased by her husband Albert Fruzzetti and her late siblings Jean Gray and Phillip Arseneault. She is survived by her loving children Sheryl Briggs and her husband Burton of Rockland, Shirley MacLeod and her husband Thomas of Abington, Joyce Hochstrasser and her husband Ross of Weymouth, and James Fruzzetti and his wife Judith of E. Bridgewater. Joanne is also survived by her cherished eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and her sister Lucille Taylor of Florida..

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Joanne from 10am-Noon on Friday, February 27, 2026 in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Sq) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service will take place in the funeral home immediately after the visitation at Noon. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Weymouth.
