Jane Kenney

Jane (Bonani) Kenney, age 79, of Hanover and formerly of Weymouth, passed away on March 20, 2026. Daughter of the late Henry and Caroline Bonani, Jane was born, raised, and educated in Weymouth, she was a graduate of Weymouth High School, Class of 1964.

Jane married her beloved husband, Joseph F. Kenney, in 1968 following his return from military service. Together they built a life in Weymouth, where they raised their two sons and created many cherished memories over the years. A wonderful wife, mother, and friend, Jane was devoted to her family and will be remembered for the love and care she gave to so many. After raising her children, she worked as a clerk in the loan department at Hingham Institution for Savings, retiring in 2012. She and her husband enjoyed trips to the casino, especially Las Vegas, as well as visits to Foxwoods, Plainridge Park, and other local destinations. They also enjoyed vacationing in Florida with their dear friends Maureen and Kevin MacCurtain.

She leaves behind her loving husband Joseph F. Kenney after 57 years of marriage.

Devoted mother of Michael Kenney and his wife Tara of Weymouth, and David Kenney of Weymouth. Loving grandmother of Gianna. Dear sister of Phyllis Carpenito, Linda McDougall, and Kathy Billings.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours on Thursday, March 26, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home Friday Morning for a Funeral Service in the funeral home which will begin promptly at 9:30am Guests are invited to arrive at 9:15 AM. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 12:30pm.
