Gregg S Finn

March 7, 1963 — June 12, 2025

Weymouth, MA

Gregg Steven Finn, 62, of Weymouth passed away unexpectedly on June 12, 2025, while settling into a long anticipated retired life in sunny Florida. Gregg was born in South Weymouth to James Finn and the late Geraldine (Carey) Finn. Gregg graduated from South Weymouth High School and immediately started working as a laborer for the Laborers International Union, before moving to WGBH where he worked for more than 20 years. Gregg proudly bought his grandparent’s row house in Southie, before marrying the love of his life, Robin, and settling in South Weymouth to raise their family. Gregg retired as a building supervisor for the Dartmouth Group in February of this year.

Gregg was a wonderful person, a great dad, friend, and neighbor. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles, boats, the beach, and hanging out in his garage chatting with the neighbors as they passed by the house. He was quick witted, and always ready to go with a one liner, zinger, and a sly grin. He was always there for anyone who needed a helping hand and was so very talented at building and fixing pretty much everything. He loved his family above all else.

Gregg is survived by his wife, Robin (Anderson) Finn, son, Daniel Finn, and father, James Finn, all of Weymouth. He is also survived by his siblings: Geraldine Finn and her partner, Dale Southworth of Pembroke, Anna Moore and her husband, Michael, of Weymouth, Carol Rone and her husband, Keith of Florida, Eileen McGee of North Carolina, Jacqueline Finn of Weymouth, Patty Comeau and her husband, Scott, of Weymouth, James Finn and his wife, Debbie, of Abington, Kevin Finn and his wife, Sue, of Weymouth, and Nancy Mohan and her husband, Glenn of Weymouth. Gregg is also survived by his granddaughter Hailey Palmer, grandson, Brady Bowen, and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Gregg is predeceased by his mother, Geraldine (Carey) Finn, his daughter, Nicole Palmer, and son, Andrew Finn.

He will be greatly missed.
