Elizabeth Eures

Elizabeth Eures (Foster), age 97, passed away on August 4, 2023. Elizabeth was born in Canton, raised and educated in Boston where she graduated from Hyde Park High School in 1943. After high school, she worked at Raymond's Department store for a few years. She married her husband Robert in 1946 and the two raised their loving family together in Boston.

Elizabeth was a kind and generous soul.  Not only a loving mother to her own children, she filled a mother role to many she met, especially to the staff members at Rosewood where she last lived. She loved to collect recipes and all sorts of kitchen related items, even though she wasn't one to cook, which was one of the many sources of laughter and joy she provided throughout her life to her family and friends.

Elizabeth is predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Eures  and her son, Robert W. Eures . She is survived by her children, Elaine Mastromarino and her husband, Louis, of Reading, David Eures and his wife, Norma, of Mattapoisett and Laurence Eures of Lynn. She was also loved by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invite to attend a visitation for Elizabeth on Wednesday, August 9, 2023, from 12-2PM, in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, located at 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visiting hours in the funeral home. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, in Weymouth.
