Dorothy A. Mathewson

Dorothy A. Mathewson, age 92, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025. Dorothy was born and raised in Weymouth where she graduated in 1951 from Weymouth High School. She married her beloved husband, Bill, in 1951. Dorothy and Bill have had an amazing 74 years together raising their three daughters. Dorothy has many fond memories of time with friends and family at the Wessagusset Yacht Club.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Wilfred "Bill" Mathewson of Weymouth, her children Debra Mathewson and her partner James Sorensen of Bourne, MA, Donna Eichles and her husband Terry of New Hampsire, and Denise Mathewson of Weymouth, and her cherished grandchildren Jack and his wife Jessica, Kimberly and her husband Scott, and Eddy.

Services for Dorothy will be private to honor her wishes. She will be buried in Old North Cemetery located in N. Weymouth.
