David W. Drew

David W. Drew, age 72, of Weymouth, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at home. Dave was raised and educated in Scituate where he graduated from Scituate High School in 1970. He then attended the University of Maine for a year prior to living, working and surfing in Hawaii for two years. 

David was a master carpenter and spent 40 years in the trade doing exceptionally fine woodworking. Dave had a special place in his heart for his Labrador Retrievers, Kimo, Kona, and Lilly. One of the places that David was happiest was ice fishing on Boot Pond in Plymouth.

David is the brother of Carolyn Shepherd Drew of Hanover and the late Lydia Lincoln Drew, uncle and father figure to Julianna Drew O'Sullivan and Jordan Wason O'Sullivan. He is also survived by his former wife Martha Whelan of Scituate and many loving cousins.

Services for David will be private for his family. There will be a burial ceremony at the Vine Hills Cemetery in Plymouth on August 6, 2025 at 10am. If joining for the burial service please arrive at 9:45am
