Christopher Doyle, age 92, of South Weymouth, passed away on Saturday, March 21, 2026. Born in Limerick, County Limerick, Ireland, he was raised and educated there before later making his home in Weymouth.
He was the beloved husband of Gerda C. (Munchen) Doyle of Weymouth and they were married and devoted to each other for over 65 years.
Christopher is survived by his children, Christopher Doyle of Scituate, Ed Doyle and his wife Beth of Marshfield; and was the father of the late Susan Webb. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Boryana, Erica, Collin and Jo; and his siblings, Dennis Doyle and Dolores Doyle, both of Ireland.
Christopher had a passion for playing sports and especially enjoyed golf and racquetball later in his life. Christopher was known for saying "the best choice he made in his life" was marrying his wife, Gerda.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 34 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square), South Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday morning for a Celebration of Life at 9:30 AM prior to the Funeral Mass at St. Albert the Great Church, East Weymouth at 10:30 AM.
Burial will immediately follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Cedar Street, East Weymouth.
