Catherine Gillis

Catherine Gillis (Pimental), of Rockland, passed away on September 11, 2026. She was born in Boston on June 27, 1958, to the late Arthur and Catherine (Casey) Pimental.

Catherine took great pride in her Irish heritage and loved all things Irish. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially spending time at Castle Island and enjoying a hot dog from Sullivan’s. She had a special love for cats, plants, and nature, and was a devoted New England Patriots fan who rarely missed a game.

Most of all, Catherine cherished her family. She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Caitlin Gillis and Erin Gillis, both of Weymouth; her grandson, Axton; and her siblings, Arthur Pimental and Jean Pimental.

Catherine leaves behind many memories that her family will treasure. Her love of family, her Irish spirit, and the simple things that made her happy will remain a lasting part of the lives of those who knew and loved her.
