Carol A. Vickey

Carol A. (Ester) Vickey, of Dorchester, passed away on September 26, 2025, at the age of 78. Born in Dorchester on January 20, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Edward J. Ester and Bertha M. (Mikalauskis) Ester.

Carol attended Boston Public Schools and briefly worked as a nursing assistant before dedicating most of her life to being a devoted homemaker. She loved listening to music, watching classic television, caring for animals, and attending family parties where her warmth and laughter brought people together.

She was the beloved wife of the late Richard J. Vickey, with whom she now rejoins. Carol was predeceased by her brother Edward K. Ester and her niece Liane Whitney (Ester). She is survived by her niece Diana Sass, several cousins and fondly remembered by the Vickey family.

Carol will be remembered for her kindness, love of family, and the joy she found in life’s simple moments.
