Robert William (Bob) Moody Jr., aged 81, of Milton, MA passed away on April 14, 2023. Bob was born in Boston, MA on October 15, 1941, to Robert W. Moody Sr. and Annie Marie (Perry) Moody. He was raised and educated in Milton and graduated from Milton High School. After high school, Bob went on to attend Northeastern University where he earned his bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, earned a varsity letter in Track & Field and was part of their Army ROTC program. Bob married his wife Ann in 1965 and, after being stationed in Ankara, Turkey for almost 2 years, the two traveled through Europe and then settled back in Milton where they raised their loving family. Bob worked as an electrical engineer for his entire career and retired from Tyco Electronics after over 45 years. He was an avid Red Sox fan and loved to watch and attend games whenever he could. He also loved his sports cars, hiking the Blue Hills, shows and books about science & space, their many pet cats and dogs over the years and enjoyed all different varieties of food.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ann (Welland), his two daughters, Kimberly Moody of Dorchester and Kristin Ziegler and her husband Dan of Weymouth. He was also loved by his three granddaughters: Grace, Annabelle, and Zoey.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the caregivers and staff at The Atrium at Faxon Woods Memory Care for their unwavering dedication, support, and love over the last five years. Services for Bob will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association (act.alz.org).
