Barbara Maling

Barbara Maling, of Weymouth, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2025, at the age of 88. Barbara was born on May 29, 1936, in Boston, MA to Oscar J. Kent and Sally L. Kent (Robinson). She was born and raised in Boston and married Roy J Maling, in 1959. They later settled in Weymouth, where they raised their family together.

Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and homemaker who took great pride in caring for her home and family. She and Roy shared a love of roller skating and spent many happy times together on the rink. Barbara had a passion for sewing, gardening, and cooking, and she especially loved animals—most of all her beloved dog, Frank.

Barbara is survived by her five sons: Stephen Maling of Palm Bay, FL; William Maling and his wife Bonnie of Hudson, NH; John Maling of Weymouth; Michael Maling and his significant other Amanda Cote of Weymouth; and Richard Maling and his wife Kelly of Marshfield. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Jennifer, Brian, James, Hannah, Stella, and Delia, and great-grandchildren Tyler and Liliana. She leaves behind her brother Walter Wilkinson and was predeceased by her brother Brian Wilkinson.
