Barbara A. Froio

Barbara A. Froio (Chambers), age 87, of S. Weymouth and formerly of Hingham passed away on December 24, 2025. Barbara graduated from Weymouth High in 1956. She married her beloved husband, James, in 1960 before they started a family in Abington. They settled in Hingham shortly after they were married where they raised their children prior to moving to Cohasset in 1978. After enjoying 10 years of retired life in Hull they have most recently lived in Weathervane Golf Course in S. Weymouth.

Barbara was a nurse at Winthrop and Milton Hospitals, and also obtained her real estate license in 1968 which began a successful career that she really enjoyed. 

Barbara was predeceased by her husband James "John" Froio in 2018 and her nephews Robert Chambers. She is the loving mother of James Froio Jr. and his wife Danielle of Norton, Gina Froio and her wife Caryn of Hull, Karen Froio of Wayland, Dr. John Froio and his wife Virginia of Cohasset, and Glen Froio and his wife Barbara of Hingham; her cherished grandchildren Jamie, Aaron, Camryn, Justin, Caroline, James, Luke, and Dominic. Barbara will also be remembered by her amazing group of friends who have been together since Highschool, her brother John Chambers and his wife Agnes, and was always a special aunt to Robert Chambers Jr. and his wife Theresa.

Services for Barbara will be private for her family. She will be buried with her husband John at the Fairmount Cemetery in Weymouth.
