Arthur W. Pimental Sr.

Arthur W. Pimental Sr. of Weymouth passed away peacefully on May 2, 2025. Arthur was raised and educated in South Boston. He joined the United States Marine Corps right out of high school and proudly served for many years. Once home Arthur began his working career at the Post Office and later worked at the Weymouth Club for 30+ years before retiring just this year.

Arthur was an avid sports fan with the Red Sox being his most favorite to watch. He would travel for two weeks every year to catch the Red Sox spring training in Florida. In his earlier years he would watch all his kids sporting events no matter where they were. He was a hardworking man and proud marine that will be missed by all who knew him.

Arthur was the son of the late Josephine (Coughlin) and Arthur Pimental and was the foster son of Mary and Albert Chichester. Arthur was the beloved husband of 68 years of Catherine Pimental of Weymouth. He was the loving father of Catherine Gillis of Rockland, Arthur Pimental Jr. of Weymouth and Jean Pimental of New Hampshire. He was the cherished grandfather of Kaitlyn, Erin, Anthony, Jessica, John and great grandfather of 5. He was predeceased by his brother Ronald Pimental and foster siblings Eddie, Diane, Mary and Mark Chichester. 

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation in memory of Arthur on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 from 3-6PM in the CC Shepherd Funeral Home, Weymouth. Friends and family are invited to the funeral home the morning of Wednesday, May 14, 2025 at 9am prior to a funeral mass at the St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth at 10AM. A burial will take place immediately after mass at the Blue Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Arthurs memory to the Disabled American Veterans.
