Alyson M. Turner

Alyson M. Turner, 76, died April 9th at Brockton Hospital surrounded by family and friends after a long battle with a lung related illness.

Alyson was born October 22, 1949 at St. Margaret Hospital in Dorchester, MA to the late Paul and Jeanne (Lucree) Macleod. A 1967 graduate of Weymouth High, she went on to attend The Shepard Gill School of Practical Nursing where she went on to become a nurse for various hospitals and rest homes across Florida, Georgia and Massachusetts. She retired from South Shore Mental Health doing what she did best, caring for those who could not care for themselves.

Alyson was an avid reader, a film lover and the person you wanted on your trivia team. She loved camping, Phil Collins, number puzzles, all things Tybee Island/Savannah Georgia and her dogs.

She is survived by her loving husband Charles Turner of 36 years, her children Chris Farrar and wife Casey, grandmother to Cooper, Jack and Ian, siblings Scott Macleod, Lyn Moore and her husband Scott and Lois Macleod, bonus parent to Heather, Shawn and wife Annie, and Sherry, aunt to Michael Malvesti, Sara Boyle and Melissa Moore, great aunt to Jameson and Mauve.

Honoring Alyson's wishes there will be a private Celebration of Life at a later date.
