Albert Hauter, age 91, of Weymouth, passed away on February 5, 2024. Albert was born in Somerville, raised and educated in Weymouth. After high school, Albert proudly served in the United States Army. He met the love of his life, Margaret at the local roller skating rink, Lakeview in 1962 and the two married in 1965. They raised their loving family in Weymouth and Hull.

Albert was very proud to serve 3 years in Seoul, Korea during the war, delivering ammunition. He was employed by Weymouth Water Works for 16 years and then Hoadley & Sons water works specialists in Rockland. Albert was on the Columbian Square bowling league for 25 years. He loved walking the Cape Cod Canal, going to Air shows, playing checkers, ping pong, horseshoes and watching old westerns.

Albert is survived by his beloved wife Margaret Hauter (MacPherson), of Weymouth. He is also survived by his loving children, Anne Marie Hauter, of Rockland, Albert C. Hauter, of Abington, Matthew Hauter, of Weymouth, Michael Hauter and his wife Donna, of East Bridgewater and Julie Hauter of Wareham. He is predeceased by his daughter Mary Hauter. Albert was also loved by his ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a visitation for Albert on Tuesday, February 13, 2024, from 4-7pm, at the CC Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.), Weymouth. A funeral service will follow immediately after the visiting hours, in the funeral home at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, using the link provided on this page.
