Albert J. Currie

Albert J. Currie of East Weymouth, MA passed away on February 24, 2025, at the age of 71. Albert was born on February 8, 1954, in Weymouth to Allen Burten Currie and Eva Currie (Lowe). He was born and raised in Weymouth alongside his eight siblings.

Albert left school in the 7th grade to help support his family, all while courageously battling polio. In 1976, he began his career as an Animal Control Officer — a role he held until his retirement in 2007. It was through this work that he met the love of his life, Brenda, and they married in 1988. They shared many wonderful years together, creating cherished memories during their trips to Cape Cod.

Albert had a deep love of country music and found joy in its heartfelt melodies and stories.

Albert is survived by his two beloved children, Sam A. Currie and Heather A. E. Currie. He was predeceased by his wife, Brenda, who passed away in 2024.
