John J. Blake Jr.

John J. Blake Jr., age 67, passed away at the Colonial Nursing Home
on Tuesday December 29, 2009. He was the Beloved Husband of Elizabeth (Picco) Blake, the beloved father of Barbara Applegate and her husband Daniel of Rockland, Richard Blake and his wife Patricia of Whitman and Brenda Pienkos and her husband Walter of Rockland, the brother of Anna Cuccinello of Lexington, Mary Sweeney of Manchester NH, Elizabeth Sacco of Burlington, William Blake of Arlington and Francis Blake of Plymouth. He was the loving “Papa” of John, Richard, D.J., Kristina, Lauren, Kelly, Ryan and Nicole and is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of late Richard Blake and Catherine Shea. John was the son of the late John J. and Anna (McDonough) Blake. He was born in Charlestown Ma, Lived in Quincy for 25 Years and had lived in South Weymouth for the last 4 Years. He was the former owner of Mr. B’S Sub Shop in South Weymouth, and had worked for over 30 years as a Warehouse manager at several local companies prior to his retirement. Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday Jan 6, 2010 from 4-8 P.M. at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) South Weymouth. A memorial mass will be held on Thursday Jan. 7, 2010 at the St. Francis Xavier Church, 261 Pleasant St. South Weymouth at 10 A.M.
