Elizabeth Skidmore, age 66, of Weymouth passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Liza was born and raised in Weymouth where she graduated in 1974 from Weymouth High School. She married her wife of 25 years, Sharon, in 1997. They lived for years in Stoughton then moved to the family house in Pembroke. Liza and Sharon have enjoyed countless sunsets over Little Sandy Pond.

Liza would commonly be seen bartending at the Weymouth VFW 1399 on Broad Street. She often reminisced about the great times she had with family and friends. She also worked security at the State Street Bank, Phoenix Electric, and shipping at Reebok. Although her family and friends were her life, Liza also enjoyed Boston Sports especially the Red Sox. Elizabeth also loved bowling, cooking and was known for her delicious slow-cooked ribs.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her parents Charlotte L. (Jason) and William H. Skidmore Sr. and her sisters Lilly M. Rose and Ellen Faria. She is survived by her wife Sharon Rainey of Pembroke, her siblings Robert Skidmore and his wife Kay of Weymouth, Ruth Curtin and the late David of Rockland, and William H. Skidmore Jr. of ME, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Liza on Monday, August 1, 2022 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. A funeral service for Elizabeth will immediately follow the visitation at 7pm in the funeral home. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home at 9:45am Tuesday for brief prayers at 10am then burial in Woodside Cemetery in Cohasset.
