Elizabeth Kitson (Reardon), age 78, of Pembroke passed away on Friday, June 17, 2022. Beth was raised and educated in Quincy where she graduated Quincy High School before graduating from Northeastern University.

Beth married her husband, Tom, in 1965. They started a family in Quincy then settled in Pembroke where they stayed and created many fond memories raising their family together.

Beth had a joy for life. She and Tom enjoyed being on the water and boating throughout their years together. They were long time members of the Point Independence Yacht Club in Onset where they developed many friendships and never passed up having a good time. She also enjoyed skiing in her earlier years, spending many days on the slopes while living for a time in Lincoln, NH. Her faith was also very important to her. She was active in First Church in Pembroke for many years where she also developed friendships that were important to her.

One of Beth’s most treasured roles, was being “Nanny” to her granddaughter, Julia, and other dear friends and extended family.

Beth was predeceased by her beloved husband Thomas Kitson in 2009. She is the loving mother of Karen Baxter and her husband Grant of Pembroke and Thomas “Ted” Kitson of Ayr, ON. Cherished “Nanny” of Julia Baxter, Erin Baxter, Matthew Baxter, Grant W. Baxter, Samantha Porte, and Steven Porte. Dear sister of Robert Reardon and his wife Sharon of GA, the late William Reardon of Scituate, and Carolyn Reardon of Quincy.

Beth was a dedicated and regular donor of blood throughout her adult life. Last year, she developed a rare blood disorder where she needed to rely on the donations of others. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating at a local blood drive, if able; or a donation to South Shore Visiting Nurse Association, 50 Reservoir Driver, Rockland (southshorehealth.org).
