Norma Jean Berio (MacCalmon) of Whitman passed away peacefully on February 12, 2022 at the age of 85. Norma was born, raised and educated in Boston. She and her husband Thomas, married in 1955. After living in Savannah, Ga and Weymouth, they settled down in Whitman. Norma was employed by State Street Bank, Raytheon ,and retired from The Foxborough Company.

Norma loved camping, and her pets, but her greatest passion was her family. She took the utmost pride in making sure they were loved and cared for. She was loved by all that knew her, and memories made with her will not soon be forgotten.

Norma was the beloved wife of 66 years to Thomas Berio. She was the loving mother of Theresa Schuyler of Maryland, Nancy Habib and her husband Joseph of Bridgewater, Lori Berio and her significant other Paul Campbell of Abington, Karen Pearson and her husband John of Lakeville and Richard Berio and his significant other Emily Brown of Georges Mills, NH. She was the devoted grandmother of Shanon, Stephen, Joshua, Russell, Jefferey, Adam, Lindsay, Thomas, Jacob, Jessica and great grandmother to Grayson, Fynn, Ryder and Maddison. Norma also leaves behind her sister Phyllis Derry of Weymouth. She was predeceased by her siblings Donald, Ruth, Edith, and Norman.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours for Norma on Thursday February 17, 2022 from 9 to 11am in the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St. Weymouth (Columbian Square). A funeral service will immediately follow at 11am in the funeral home. The burial will take place at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Weymouth. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made in Norma’s memory to the American Diabetes Association.
