Sally A. Barker (Watt), age 80, of Whitman and formerly of Weymouth, passed away on Wednesday, December 8, 2021. Sally was raised and educated in Braintree graduating Braintree High in 1960. She married her husband, John, in 1982 and settled in Weymouth where they resided and raised their family for many years.

Sally worked as a switchboard operator for New England Telephone and also Shaw’s where she retired from. She enjoyed camping, bowling, and traveling but most of all loved every minute she spent with her grandchildren of whom she is so proud.

Sally was predeceased by her beloved husband John Barker, she is survived by her children Nathan E. Bates III and his wife Kathleen of Rockland, Ronald Bates of Whitman, Bonnie Paola and her husband Tom of Whitman, and Sally Dudley of Carver, her cherished grandchildren Christine, Brian, Chelsea, Corey, Casey, Thomas, Colleen, Anthony, Justin, Mikayla, Liam, Colin, Jacob, Brennan, and Tyler. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Emersyn, Devin, and Benjamin, as well as her brother Harold J. Watt Jr of Hanover.

Sally’s family would like to express a sincere thank you to all of the staff at Royal Norwell Nursing Home where Sally received exceptional care throughout her final days.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Sally on Monday, December 13, 2021 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. A Funeral Service will take place in the funeral home Tuesday morning at 10am followed by burial in Blue Hills Cemetery, Braintree. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.ALZ.org/donate.
