Vonnie Barber

d. October 25, 2021

Vonnie L. Barber passed away suddenly on October 25, 2021 at the age of 81. Vonnie was born, raised and educated in Fairfield PA. She moved to Weymouth to attend the Eastern Nazarene College and met her husband Phillip Barber while studying there. They settled down and started a family together and lived in Weymouth for the remainder of their time together. Vonnie worked various jobs and retired as a bookkeeper for the Trilling House.

Vonnie was an amazing woman and had many talents. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, with her specialty being Pennsylvania Dutch style foods, and spending time down Cape Cod. She was a dedicated member of the Church of the Nazarene in Weymouth. Vonnie and Phillip were an instrumental part of moving the church to Weymouth and beginning the integration of the church into the town. Above all else Vonnie was a devoted grandmother and great grandmother spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Vonnie was the dear wife of the late Phillip Barber, loving mother of John Barber and his wife Sheila of Weymouth, Jessica Mulready and her husband Stephen of Falmouth and Dan Barber and his wife Ann-Marie Bagley of Wareham. Vonnie leaves behind her beloved grandchildren Samantha, Nicole, Sean and John and great grandchildren Sarah, Chelsea and another on the way.
