Louise McEvoy (Griffin), age 91, passed away at home with family by her side on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Louise was born, raised, and educated in Dorchester. She married her childhood sweetheart, Walter “Joe”, in 1947. Louise and Walter started a family in Dorchester then moved to S. Weymouth in 1972 where they stayed for many years and created many memories.

Louise worked for the Telephone Company for over 20 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers. She enjoyed trips to Cape Cod and Ireland but most of all loved spending time with her family especially at Holidays.

Louise was predeceased by her beloved husband Walter “Joe” McEvoy. She is survived by her loving children Paul McEvoy and his wife Linda, Joe McEvoy and his with Elizabeth, Jimmy McEvoy and his wife Lynne, John McEvoy, Chris McEvoy, and Mary Devereaux and her husband Frank, her cherished grandchildren Michael, Brian, Megan, Sean, Colleen, Walter J., Frank IV, Samantha, and Molly Mae, her nine great-grandchildren, and her three great-great-grandchildren. Louise is also survived by her sister-in-law Jean Griffin.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Louise on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 from 4-7pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Due to restrictions for COVID-19 there is a limited capacity inside the funeral home, visitors will be asked to keep their visit brief so we may accommodate all guests. Friends are invited to gather at St. Francis Xavier Church in S. Weymouth for the Funeral Mass which will take place on Thursday at 10am. Burial will follow at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
