Kathleen J. Jarvis (O’Connor), age 64, of Abington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, Kathy was born in Boston, then raised and educated in Weymouth. She married her husband, Edward, in 1976. After spending a short time in Weymouth, Kathy and Eddy settled in Abington where they raised their three children and have resided ever since.

Up until the time of her death, Kathy served as business manager for her family’s trucking business. Before dedicating all of her time to the family business, she had also worked in E.R. Registration at Quincy Medical Center for over 20 years. Kathy enjoyed family time above all else. This included many family outings over the years, most notably annual trips to Sebago Lake in Maine, and spending time conversing with her children and grandchildren near and far. In her free time, Kathy also enjoyed sewing, quilting, caring for her treasured pets, and long car rides with no particular destination.

Kathy is survived by her beloved husband, Edward Jarvis of Abington; her loving children, Daniel Jarvis of Abington, Nicole Cane and her husband, Joseph C. Cane, Jr. of Texas, and Valerie Jarvis of Abington; her cherished grandchildren, Brooke, Lucian, Vincent, Julian, Arianna, and Peyton. She was predeceased by her brother Robert O’Connor, and is survived by her brothers, Richard O’Connor and Ronald O’Connor.

Funeral arrangements for Kathy are in the care of C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located in Weymouth and will be private due to the current Covid-19 crisis. Kathy will be buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Weymouth. In memory of Kathy donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association at 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202.
