Carol Aylward

Carol Aylward (Blonda), age 80, of Plymouth passed away on May 16, 2020. Carol was raised and educated in S. Boston graduating from S. Boston High in 1957. She worked for Employer’s Group Insurance for a few years prior to starting a family with her husband, Henry. Eventually Carol settled in S. Boston where she raised her children. Later in life she worked at Samia Companies in Brighton until retiring at the age of 72.

Carol loved dancing, family beach trips, and afternoons at Castle Island but most of all enjoyed time with her family.

Carol is survived by her beloved children Paul Aylward of Bellingham, Phillip Aylward of Stoughton, Stephan Aylward of Plymouth, and Rayna Clarke and her husband Charles of Lawrence, her grandchildren Melissa, Talia, Charles Jr., and Giada. Carol is also the sister of Janice, Valerie, Cynthia, Robert, Darlene, and the late Marie and Vincent Jr.

Funeral arrangements for Carol are in the care of C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home in Weymouth and will be private due to the current viral crisis. Carol will be interred at a later date in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W. Roxbury. In Lieu of flowers donations may be made to the the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22478 Oklahoma City, OK 73123.
