Beatrice “Jean” (Johnson) Tantillo, age 90, a Weymouth resident for over 60 years, passed away with her loving family by her side on Sunday, March 3, 2019.
Jean was a kind selfless woman who loved being with her family and friends most of all. She was a caretaker, antique dealer and a card shark. Jean spent 25 years at 95 Broad St. in Weymouth where she made many special friends as well as having a couple of dear lifelong friends. She loved traveling and dinners with her friends and family.
Jean was the loving wife and love of her life, the late John R. Fletcher and also the loving wife of the late James Tantillo. She was the devoted mother of her girls, Pamela J. Bryant and her husband Rick, Deborah A. Nicell, Elizabeth Medeiros and her husband Dave all of Weymouth and Barbara Trenouth and her husband Dave of Holbrook. She also leaves many grandchildren, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was also blessed to have her companion of 18 years, the late Anthony Cosenza, Jean is predeceased by her daughter Linda M. Baird, her grandsons, Christopher Chapman and Richard Carr Jr.
Thanks to her many aides over the years and for Hospice of the South Shore for helping us to the end.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to visiting hours for Jean on Wednesday March 20 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home on Thursday at 11am for a funeral service in honor of Jean. Burial will follow at the St. Francis Cemetery in Weymouth.
