John “Jack” Crandall, age 69, of Weymouth passed away December 15, 2018 after a brief illness. Jack was born, raised, and educated in the Wollaston area of Quincy. After school he joined the Navy where Jack served for four years. Upon arriving home he soon married his beloved wife of 43 yrs, Dotty. After they were married in 1975 they lived in Quincy for a short time before settling in Weymouth where they have resided ever since.

Jack worked as a locksmith for 43 years in all aspects, from owning a shop to service calls. He enjoyed volunteering his time and was involved in many hobbies and preservation groups from model railroads to being the past President and Vice President of the Bare Cove Fire Museum in Hingham. Jack also created many fond memories while vacationing with Dotty at their house in Maine.

Jack is survived by his beloved wife Dorothy “Dotty” Crandall (Bradford), his sisters Jane Gobell and her husband Paul of Kingston, Robbie Berg and her husband Rick of Hanover, and Ellen McLaughlin and her husband Glenn of Pembroke. Jack is also the loving uncle of Melissa, Kelley, Erick, Robert, Ryan, Brian, Ann, and Kevin and is also survived by many grand-nieces and nephews and his cherished dog Bentley.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Jack on Wednesday December 19, 2018 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9am for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Service which will take place at Holy Nativity Church located at 8 Nevin Rd. S. Weymouth, MA at 10am. Interment will immediately follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Pembroke. In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Jack may be made to the Bare Cove Fire Museum at 45 Bear Cove Dr. Hingham, MA 02043.
