Harold J. “Mul” Mullen, age 90, of Weymouth passed away Saturday December 15, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. Mul was born and raised in Boston. He entered the Navy and served for over 3 years until the end of WWII in 1945. After returning home Mul worked at Boston Edison for 42 years. He married his beloved wife of 55yrs, Grace, in 1954 and they settled in Weymouth where they raised their family and have resided ever since.

Mul retired at the age of 62 and enjoyed many years creating memories spending time with his family at his beach house in Plymouth, taking trips to many golf destinations, Hawaii and Ireland.

Mul was predeceased by his beloved wife Grace Anne Mullen (Devlin). He is the loving father of Patricia Mullen-Verge and her husband Robert of Medfield, the late Maureen Mullen-Menard, and the late Thomas J. Mullen, Cherished grandfather of Irena Mullen-Menard, and Jenna and Austin Verge, Father-in-law of Darius Menard, and Brother-in-law of Nora Mahan, Claire Coffey, and Dorothy Greenleaf. Mul is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hour for Mul on Monday, December 17, 2018 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq) Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather in the funeral home for a Celebration of Life at 9AM Tuesday prior to the Funeral Mass in honor of Mul’s life which will take place at 10AM at St. Francis Xavier Church, Weymouth. Interment will immediately follow at Forest Hills Cemetery, Boston. Donations in memory of Mul may be made to Wounded Warrior Project PO Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
