Anna Mae Barrett

Anna Mae (Dacey) Barrett, age 93, of Weymouth, passed away on Thursday, July 19, 2018. She was born in Brockton to the late John S. Dacey and the late Lillie A. (Guertin) Dacey. Anna was a graduate of Weymouth High School in the class of 1944 and a retiree of State Street Bank Probate Department in Quincy.
Anna was the wife of the late William C. Barrett and was the loving mother of William M. Barrett and his wife Stephanie of Bridgewater, Kathleen A. Hedlund and her late husband Robert of Quincy, Daniel J. Barrett of Leesburg, FL and Margaret J. Trubia and her husband Larry of Hull. She also leaves 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Anna was predeceased by two sisters, Katherine Leavitt of Weymouth and Margaret Rhodes of Sisters, OR.
Anna enjoyed boating and was a Gold Anchor member of the South Shore Yacht Club, but most of all she loved being her son’s den mother in Scout Troops and hosting her family through many years of holidays.
The Funeral Service will be private from the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth.
