John W. Adams

d. May 11, 2018

John William Adams, 60, of Hingham, passed away on May 11, 2018, while surrounded by loving family and friends after suffering a tragic fall at his home. John was born in Quincy, grew up in Weymouth and graduated from Weymouth High School in 1976. John had retired from Waltham Services after 30 years in pest control.
John spent 33 wonderful years with his wife and best friend, Lisa (Mills) Adams and was the devoted son of Ann (Hayes) Adams of Dorchester and the late Joseph F. Adams. He was the loving brother of Joseph Adams and his wife Ann of Newton; Judith Adams of Guilford, CT; David Adams and his wife Charlene of Whitman and Nancy Mannion and her husband Joseph of Broomall, PA. He was the much-loved son-in-law of William and Jean Mills of Hanover, the loving brother-in-law of William Mills of Hanson; Susan Argiro and her husband Frank of Weymouth and Alison Cloutier and her husband Lee of Madbury, NH. He was the loving nephew of many aunts and uncles, the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews and the loving great uncle of three grandnieces.
John loved spending time with his family and friends. His sense of humor made us all laugh and his love of a good prank fooled us over and over again. He loved the beach, the sun, fishing, reading, music and dancing. He adored the rottweilers (Sabre, Gretta and Xena) that he and Lisa raised over the years. He loved taking trips with Lisa, from their jeep rides around town to their most favorite annual winter trips to Mexico, which were always the best time ever and often even included watching their New England Patriots play in the Superbowl.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours for John on Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant Street (Columbian Square) S. Weymouth. A Memorial Service in honor of John will immediately follow the visiting hours in the funeral home at 12:30 p.m.
