Nunzio A. Lorusso, age 94, of Brockton Ma, died Sunday morning, May 6, 2018 at his home surrounded by his family. Born November 10, 1923 in Boston, Ma to Italian immigrants Domenico LoRusso and Emanuela (Gianetta) Contardo. Nunzio was a cheese maker for more than 70 years and co-owner of Purity Cheese Co. for more than 50 years. He loved his family, took pride in his work, and enjoyed attending his son’s motocross races. He enjoyed going out dancing with his wife, spending time with family and friends, and he was always dressed to impress.
Nunzio is survived by his beloved wife Annette (Marden) Lorusso of Brockton, his children Erin Finch and her husband Mel of Whitman, Patricia Phipps and her husband Tracy of MD, Tony Lorusso of NH, Stefanie Natoli and her husband Frank of Lancaster, William Ladd of Brockton, Rae Arsenault and her husband David of Lancaster and Christine Ladd of Brockton.
He was predeceased by his children Sharon Sweeney, Kerry Harding, Sean Lorusso and Michelle Lorusso and his siblings; Carmella, Celia, and Joseph LoRusso. Nunzio is also survived by his cherished fifteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his twin brother Sammy LoRusso of Boston and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visitation for Nunzio on Saturday, May 12, 2018 from 10am-12pm at the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq) Weymouth, MA 02190. A Funeral Service will take place in the Funeral Home and will begin promptly at noon. In lieu of flowers donations are encouraged to be made to the Mass General Cancer Center at 55 Fruit St. Boston, MA 02114.
