Shirley N. Leaman (Turner), age 86, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on December 10, 2017. Shirley was a lifelong Quincy resident. She married her beloved husband, William R. Leaman Jr., in 1951 and started a family together in their hometown of Quincy. Shirley worked in the Cafeteria of Quincy schools during the 1970’s and 80’s. She and Bill enjoyed their trips to Naples, FL with friends and spending summer weekends at Lake Winnipesauke, NH. Shirley loved to go shopping and cherished her time spent with “The Girls” her longtime girlfriends since grade school whether vacationing, playing cards, or going to Louie’s. Shirley loved spending time with her family and will always be remembered for the generous love and care she gave them throughout her life.

Shirley was predeceased by her beloved husband William R. Leaman Jr. She is survived by her loving children Gail Cooper of Weymouth, William R. Leaman III (Beth) of Laconia, NH, Cynthia Abbate (Robert) of Midlothian, VA, and Michelle Rosario (Raymond) of Weymouth, her cherished grandchildren Tara, Kristen, Michelle, Jaime, Kelci, Troy, Tyler, Grant, and Alex. Shirley is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, her in-laws, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the visiting hours for Shirley on Monday December 18, 2017 from 4-8pm in the C. C. Shepherd Funeral Home located at 134 Pleasant St. (Columbian Sq.) S. Weymouth, MA. Relatives and friends will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday at 10AM for a Celebration of Life prior to the Funeral Service for Shirley which will be held at Old South Union Congregational Church, Weymouth at 11AM. Burial will immediately follow in Mount Wollaston Cemetery in Quincy, MA. Donations in memory of Shirley may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
