Claire Stanley

Claire Stanley (Trautz), age 88, of Weymouth passed away on August 21, 2017. Claire was born in Chelsea then raised and educated in E. Boston. After school she worked for Boston Edison where she met her husband, Charles. They soon got married and moved to S. Weymouth in 1951 where they raised their family. Claire volunteered her time for the Long Island Shelter by cooking and packaging meals for the homeless, and also donated regularly to the Weymouth Food pantry. Claire lived a simple life and always valued her family. She enjoyed gardening, going to plays with her granddaughter Courtni, and movies but most especially enjoyed spending time with her family.

Claire was predeceased by her husband Charles Stanley. She is the beloved mother of Denise Stanley of Weymouth, Wayne Stanley and his wife Ann Marie of Weymouth, the late Chucky Stanley, the late Steven Stanley, and the late Mary Margaret Stanley, cherished grandmother to Courtni, Sean, and Evan Stanley of Weymouth. Claire is also survived by her siblings Joan Burgess of Weymouth, John Trautz of Halifax, and many loving nieces and nephews.

Services for Claire will be private for her family. She will be interred at St. Francis Xavier Cemetery, Weymouth. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice 174 Dean St. Suite B Taunton, MA 02780.
